After the Bombing…Archetypal Constellations To Assist Community Healing
Two years ago our constellation circle in Watertown Mass experienced direct impact of the Boston Marathon Bombing and the subsequent man hunt in our immediate neighborhood. Sitting in a circle of people who all felt affected in various ways, our constellation structure of client, facilitator and representatives did not make the usual sense.
In struggling to help us integrate the experience, we began working with a mix of archetypal constellations, trauma work and ritual holding of space that resembles ceremony. This brought such astonishing results that we continued exploring this style in our training group for other issues such as the shooting in Ferguson.
In this workshop I will present what emerged as an experience of us collectively accessing the field. Then there will be an opportunity for us to step into such a process and discuss the possibility of using it to address collective trauma.
